Being out before sunrise allows for some very enjoyable views.

I enjoyed wonderful early morning fresh air whilst walking another route the other week.

Walking early on a morning I love seeing the changes as the months pass by.

The colour drenched landscape during golden hour gives me such an invigorating feel.

On Saturday I went out and walked two Wainwrights.

A cold day from the outset, the walk took in 37 mph winds, hail, a little snow blowing in the wind, and even sunshine poking through as I was walking back down.

On Sunday afternoon I was watching alerts come through in the AuroraWatch UK app that I write for iPhone and iPad. Yellow, Amber, and then Red, a very high red.

I looked outside and realised that we had pretty clear sky, and a good forecast for the evening.

So I headed out once it was dark!
